A rematch in Evansville, the first period almost gets away with no score but Birmingham takes advantage of the power play with 38 seconds left. Myles McCauley scores with assists from Keegan Bruce and Evan Schultz. Shots go in Birmingham’s favor 10-4 for the period.

Evansville will tie the game with a goal 2:47 into the 2nd period and then go ahead 2-1 with 9:14 on the clock. A third goal with 7:11 remaining and another with 1:42 to go gives the Thunderbolts a commanding 4-1 lead going to second break. Shots swing heavily to the Bolts favor as they double the Bulls effort 16-8.

The Bulls are finally able to score on the power play with 4:36 left in the 3rd to make it 4-2 with a goal from Josh Harris. The assist comes from Justin Larson and although the shots on goal for the period show Birmingham 13-0 over Evansville, 4-2 will be the final.
