Back in Huntsville after a short Christmas break, the Havoc pick up where they left off Saturday by putting a point up just 23 seconds onto the game. The Bulls will tie it up though with 2:35 left in the opening period to go to break 1-1. Keegan Bruce gets the goal with Matt Fuller and Josh Harris assisting. Shots on goal favor the visiting Bulls 11-7.

Neither team registers a shot on goal for right at 3 minutes to start the 2nd. Then Huntsville’s Christian Powers scores his second goal of the night 5:52 into the period. The period ends without another goal and the Havoc swinging the shot count heavily in their favor at 15-5.

Third period shots are again scarce to start off. Huntsville adds a third goal on their 3rd shot on goal nearly 10 minutes into the period to go up 3-1. Birmingham then seemed to come alive on offense culminating in a goal from Andy Bathgate with 3:59 remaining. Assists come from Brandon Fehd and Josh Harris. Birmingham finally gains enough control to pull Parks and put an extra attacker on at 0:52. It pays off when Evan Schultz ties the score at 3-3 with 28 second on the clock. Steven Phee assists and the game will go to overtime. 3rd period shots are in the Bulls favor 11-4. And total shots go 27-26 in for Birmingham.

Unfortunately, Birmingham will draw a penalty just 46 seconds in and Huntsville takes advantage of the power play to score the game winning goal 2:45 into the extra period and stay undefeated against Birmingham with a final score of 4-3.

The Birmingham Bulls return home Friday to face the Macon Mayhem at 7:30. The first 1,000 kids 14 & under will receive a glow-in-the-dark hockey mask. Then Saturday the Bulls host the Mississippi Riverkings at 7:00. Come out and join the excitement at the Pelham Civic Complex.
