Back home after 2 wins on the road, the Bulls look to sweep the weekend with a win against Pensacola Ice Flyers.
1st period scoring starts at 13:10 with Darius Cole lighting it up with assists from Evan Schultz and Keegan Bruce. The period ends with the Flyers with one more shot (14-13) but one less goal. Bulls up 1-0
2nd period the Bulls show signs of fatigue but not of giving up. Birmingham has a goal waved after the net was knocked loose just as it crossed the line by officials view. The Flyers then came down and slipped one in at 14:09 to tie it up and the period ends tied at 1-1. Shots are very lopsided at 22-7 in Pensacola’s favor.
The pressure comes early from Pensacola in 3rd period and they put another in at just 36 seconds to take the lead. The Bulls still playing hard and disciplined but the Flyers hang on and manage to kept them out of the net and leave with a 2-1 win. Total shots on goal go in favor of Pensacola 52-28 and the Sunday matinee draws a respectable crowd of 1,815.
