The Birmingham Bulls started the game fired up and taking it to the Huntsville Havoc on Monday afternoon. A power play goal from Brandon Fehd (Bathgate, Mitton) and a two punch knockout from Alexander Taulien had the crowd of 2,383 rocking at the end of the 1st period.
The Havoc would end Mavric Parks’ shutout hopes 7:13 into the 2nd, on a power play goal. Bulls Captain Craig Simchuk (Harris, Phee) gave the Birmingham the lead back 11:54 into the period and Taylor Dickin (Larson, Taulien) would give the Bulls a two-goal lead just 29 seconds later. Huntsville cut the Bulls lead down to a goal scoring a power play goal with just 38 remaining in the period.
In the third period the Havoc put the game away tying the game 14:01 into the period. The game winner came less than 2 minutes later to give Huntsville a 4-3 win.
The Birmingham Bulls travel to Evansville for Friday and Saturday night games before returning home to face the Huntsville Havoc on Sunday afternoon at 3PM. Sunday’s game is First Responders Day. The first 1,500 adults through the door get a Birmingham Bulls hat. All First Responders get in free with proper ID.
