Jacob Barber is back. John Rey is back. Mavric Parks? Yep. Keegan Bruce? Uh no. Only as the “enemy”.

The 1st period penalties are plentiful, 10 minutes for each team. The Bulls are out shot 15-6 but we are scoreless going to break. The Bulls will start fresh in the 2nd with 1:01 left on a power play.

Taylor Dickin scores right off a face off in the Peoria end to give the Bulls the lead, Shane Topf assisting (11:57). Shane Topf adds a goal of his own 2 minutes later making the goalie look silly. Larson and Fuller assist and the Bulls are up 2-0 halfway through the 2nd (9:55). Peoria takes advantage of a power play to pull within 1 with 3:50 left in the 2nd and they’ll go to break that way. Bulls better on shots but still out shot 15-12.

Peoria starts 3rd period scoring, again capitalizing on the power play to tie the game with 8:26 on the clock. Then, just when it looked like we were going to overtime, Justin Larson sends a beauty to the back of the net to give the Bulls the lead with 2:14 left. Taylor Dickin and Sean Gammage assist. The Bulls fought hard to hold on as Peoria pulled the goalie for last 1:20. The Bulls win gives them 2 more well deserved points. The Rivermen out shoot the Bulls 14-7 in the final frame but quality, not quantity, rules the day.
