Tuesday night, the Birmingham Bulls hosted the top ranked Pensacola Ice Flyers.
Despite falling behind 2-0 in the first period, the Bulls would come out strong in the 2nd period. Alexander Taulien scored off a rebound, just 1:27 into the 2nd period, cutting the Pensacola lead in half. Assists come from Andy Bathgate and Taylor Dickin. Less than two minutes later, recently acquired defenseman Myles McCauley would pick up his first point in Birmingham, tying the game at 2 a piece, assists from Evan Schultz and Shane Topf. Taulien gave the Bulls the lead, 3:32 into the 3rd period with his 2nd goal of the evening, a deflection of his right hip, following a hard slap shot from McCauley. (Taylor Dickin also with an assist) Steven Phee gave Birmingham a two-goal lead with 1:33 remaining in the game. (assist from Graham Yeo) The Ice Flyers pull the goalie and score with 0:24 on the clock to make it a 4-3 game. The Bulls were able to hold off Pensacola in the final seconds to win 4-3. Mavric Parks played outstanding game for Birmingham stopping 44 of 47 shots. Attendance: 1,274
