The Bulls face off against top ranked Pensacola and look to keep the streak alive.

Jacob Barber gets the Bulls on the board first with a goal just 2:31 into the game. Assist from Steven Phee (17:29). Pensacola manages to tie it up with 10:29 to go. Jacob Barber adds his second goal of the night just over a minute later with 9:22 on the clock, Evan Schultz and Steven Phee with assists. Birmingham is out shot 11-17 but will go to break up 2-1.

The 2nd period goes scoreless up until 43 seconds to go and then Pensacola finds that still small opening to tie the game at 2-2 for the second intermission. Shots go to the Ice Flyers 13-8.

Brandon Fehd gets back to work scoring early in the 3rd (17:54) with assists from Andrew Darrigo and Graham Yeo. Then, Pensacola gets back even at the 10:26 mark. John Rey takes advantage of the 5 on 3 power play to put the Bulls back up by 1 with 7:31 to play. Jacob Barber and Steven Phee with assists. This one is exciting to the end. The Bulls fight off a brief 6 on 4 skirmish and then give John Rey just enough room to launch a shot at least 150 feet into the empty net with 21 seconds remaining to upset the Ice Flyers 5-3. That’s 5 wins in row if you’re counting.
