On the road in Macon, the Bulls look to keep the streak alive as Charlie Millen takes goal tending duty. The Bulls open the scoring taking advantage of Macon penalties as Keegan Bruce puts one in just 4:14 into the game. Assists from Josh Harris and Evan Schultz. Macon managed to tie it with 5:18 to go and they head to the locker rooms at 1-1. Macon leads on shots 11-6.
Macon finally breaks the ice in the 2nd with a goal at 14:38. The Bulls hang in as Nate Mitton lights it up with 1:44 to go to keep it tied after 2 periods. Assist comes from Shane Topf. Shots on goal more even as Macon edges Birmingham 14-13.
Shane Topf goes right back to work scoring just 19 seconds into the 3rd with assists from Graham Yeo and Nate Mitton. The Bulls fend off the Mayhem for the rest of the period including a pulled goalie attack in the last minutes to win their 2nd game in as many nights on the road. The final shots on goals go in Macon’s favor 40-30 but Charlie Millen makes the difference tonight stopping 38 of 40 for an even .950 save%.
