On the road in Southaven, MS, the Bulls look to get another win.
The RiverKings get things started with a goal at 4:35 to take the lead. Not one to sit idle, Josh Harris will tie the game a little over 2 minutes later with a goal at the 6:44 mark. Assists come from Evan Schultz and Keegan Bruce. The Bulls are outshot in the 1st 17-8 mostly due to penalties (8 minutes) but manage to come out even as they head to the locker room.
The 2nd period scoring starts with a goal from Keegan Bruce at 5:13 with assists coming from Sean Gammage and another from newcomer Evan Schultz. The RiverKings again outshoot the Bulls 17-6 but again Mavric Parks is stellar in the net stopping each shot he faced in the period.
The 3rd period again sees Birmingham with very few shots managing only 3 but Alexander Taulien will make his count with 5:16 left on the clock. Assists come from Craig Simchuk and Brandon Fehd.
Mavric Parks comes through for the Bulls stopping 45 of the 46 shots he faced to log a .978 save% on the night and his first win as a Bull. The final tally sees the Bulls on top 3-1. Go Bulls!
The Bulls will travel to Macon, Georgia tomorrow to face the Mayhem with hopes of bringing home 2 wins. Then they will lock horns with the Pensacola Ice Flyers on home ice in Pelham Sunday at 3:00. I’m sure they’ll look forward to the friendlier crowd a home game brings so come down and feed them with your positive energy. To end this 3-day weekend, I know they’ll crave it. Let’s Go Bulls!!
