The Bulls start the new year off in Knoxville looking to get the season back on the right track with a win. The Ice Bears start the scoring at 15:30 but Andy Bathgate gets the Bulls back in the game with a goal at 11:19. Craig Simchuk gets the assist. Knoxville will take advantage of the power play to go ahead at 9:30 and the first period ends 2-1. The Ice Bears have the edge on shots 16-15.

Second period scoring comes late as Knoxville again capitalizes on the power play at 5:42 and again Knoxville has the edge on shots 15-11.

Knoxville scores fast in the 3rd with a goal at 19:09. The Bulls being short on defense is certainly showing up on the scoreboard. Knoxville puts a 5th goal in at 12:21 and then a 5-3 power play allows them to go up 6-1 at 7:07. Josh Harris takes advantage of a penalty shot to tally another for the Bulls at 5:30 but it’s not nearly enough and the Bulls fall 6-2 on the road. Third period shots come to 15-11 again in favor of Knoxville for a total of 46-37. Not the kind of numbers you like your goalie facing. Mavric Parks will get the loss after stopping 40 shots.

The Bulls return home to Pelham Friday (7:30) and Saturday (7:00). Hope to see you there. Go Bulls!!
