The Birmingham Bulls defeated the Evansville Thunderbolts Friday night in the Ford Center with a score of 5-3 to clinch the first ever Regular Season Championship in the franchise's 48 year history.
With one regular season game to go, the 2024 William B. Coffey Trophy recipients will look forward to entering the SPHL President's Cup Playoffs ranked as the top seed with the home ice advantage for the duration of the 3 round bracket.
The Bulls reached the SPHL Playoff Finals last season, losing the series to the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs during overtime in Game 4. They look to take that lesson with them in 2024 as they match up with the Evansville Thunderbolts for Round 1.
The first round of the playoffs will be a best-of-three series beginning at the Pelham Civic Complex on Wednesday, April 10 at 7:00pm cst.
Game 2 will be played in Evansville, Indiana on April 11, while the final game of series will return to Pelham on Saturday, April 13, if necessary.
Tickets for Game 1 on April 10 are on now sale at Ticketmaster.
